When my husband and I were first married he was gone a lot.  I always had faith that everything would be okay while he was gone, but I also took that faith for granted.  During that time, and unbeknownst to me, I was surrounded with the right people at the right time to help me and prepare me for the years to come.

On the morning of September 11th ,2001, my family and I were moving into our new house in Raleigh and we were just hours away from my wife going into labor with our third child.  I knew as I watched the events unfold that morning that it was not a question of if I would deploy again with the Army but when.

I’m not a cancer survivor, but a victim of cancer.  I lost both of my parents from cancer over the last 18 months.  Here is my story to share with all of those who are left behind here on earth from this horrible disease.

I'm a 12-year-old boy and my family isn't doing too well.  You see, my mom’s an Alcoholic.  It's been very hard and I can’t keep it inside anymore.  I don’t think she has been sober all week.  She has been an Alcoholic as long as I can remember.  I think it started right after I started school.
