Sometimes life is overwhelming – sickness, death, divorce, mental anguish,  … We have been through life’s tough times too and know you need something to help get you through.

Hangin’ on Faith is here to provide hope and encouragement during those times. We are reaching out to help in various ways.  On this website are stories from real people who may have gone through similar situations. Sometimes reading about how someone else has prevailed will give you the strength and encouragement to make it through too. Read our stories to gain hope for yourself or share with another.  Most storytellers are even available for contact for more personal help and sharing.

Knowing there is a way to make it through a difficult time may provide a ray of hope...

Street Children Ministry

By Matthew - Monrovia, Liberia

During the 1990 civil war that was in our country, Liberia, lives and properties were destroyed. People were left vulnerable, outcast, disabled and handicapped. There were a lot of widows and street orphans. Currently, the living conditions of people in Liberia is very deplorable. About 80% of our people are out of job and suffering.

In 1991 during the heat of the war, I accepted Jesus Christ with my whole heart and repented through the powerful ministering of one Pastor. St. John 10:1-19 convinced me that Jesus alone is what I need in my life.

"Who is ... and was ... and is to come"

Basically, we invited people to come learn and understand what Hangin' on Faith (HoF) is all about. We presented our beginning, what we have accomplished so far, and what our plans are for the near future. We sprinkled in several stories and of course, provided yummy food. We held it at The Healing Place of Wake County to allow people to go to a place most of them had never visited. It is a place that helps people who are going through a tough time. They offer a wonderful program to help addicts. That's covers the "was... and is" part.

The "is to come" part included a presentation of goals for 2010-11. One goal is to conduct a "Sharing Your Faith Story" workshop. This workshop will help you learn the "why" and "how" of sharing your faith story(ies). As you see God's work in your life, you'll see how it can benefit others and how it can even affect your story. During the workshop, time will be provided to allow you to compose and practice sharing it. We believe sharing your faith story not only helps others going through a tough time, it may also provide an opportunity to share His story! If you want more info on this workshop, just email me.

If you want to know more about the information presented at the Awareness Event, visit our website at www.HanginOnFaith.org..

As for the REAL "WHO is and was and is to come" as described in Revelation 1:8:
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come"

More than anything He wants to have a relationship with each of us! Giving Him your life would be a great gift for Him for Easter. Check out our feature story and how Matthew gave his life to serving others.

He wants a relationship with me - that still amazes me!
