Sometimes life is overwhelming – sickness, death, divorce, mental anguish,  … We have been through life’s tough times too and know you need something to help get you through.

Hangin’ on Faith is here to provide hope and encouragement during those times. We are reaching out to help in various ways.  On this website are stories from real people who may have gone through similar situations. Sometimes reading about how someone else has prevailed will give you the strength and encouragement to make it through too. Read our stories to gain hope for yourself or share with another.  Most storytellers are even available for contact for more personal help and sharing.

Knowing there is a way to make it through a difficult time may provide a ray of hope...

Meet the Leadership Team

L to R Deb, Jim, Kathy, James, Cindy, Della

I'd like to introduce Hangin' on Faith team. This photo was taken at a Christmas Celebration where we not only celebrated our Savior's Birth but also the successes of this ministry.

Last but certainly not least is our web manager Rebecca, shown here with Kathy. She has moved back home to her native country of India where she will continue to serve as part of the international team.

Important Update

We are very sorry to report that any signups you have done through the website to receive Newsletters or email notification about new stories, products, or pray requests are lost. We are working to resolve the problem. If you have signed up in the past, please use our new process for these signups by sending an email to Mailer@Hanginonfaith.org and provide a list of what signups you are interested in. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience we've caused you but hope you'll find the extra effort worth it.

It used to be that New Years was about making "New Year's Resolutions." The first time I heard that phrase was when someone asked a group on January 9th, "How many of you have already broken your resolutions?" I guess making resolutions is an old tradition, perhaps without as much power as we'd like. (Though I really am serious about eating healthier!)

I'd like to propose a new tradition - something I stumbled upon myself when I could not get to sleep one night. I try different things to keep my mind from wondering like : reciting the Lord's prayer in a personal manner (forgive ME of MY sins, etc). Sometimes, I try to think of the few scripture verses I know by heart. But to no avail, I go back to wondering or thinking about something on my Hangin' on Faith plate (ie: this newsletter!) The other night I thought it would be neat to "Count my many blessings." So, I began to do just that "one by one."

I expected to start with my husband and my son - but then God popped in my head so my list went something like this:

God thank you for You ... and to be more specific,
thank you for your Grace in forgiving my many sins
thank you for your Mercy by not punishing me for them
thank you for your Peace that "transcends all understanding"
thank you for your Joy
thank you for your Love
thank you for your Spirit - that little piece of you offered to help and guide me
thank you for your Word that helps teach, direct and show me the way
thank you for providing for our needs
thank you for the vast number of Promises you make to us in your word
The thoughts just kept coming! Finally I got down to counting my family and friends but I guess I needed to cover my best friend in detail first.

This didn't help me go to sleep, but I really felt good and amazed at all God has done for me and offers to each of you too!

May you see His Many Blessings in your life throughout 2009.
